Emergency Vehicles

While on my way home a couple of weeks ago, I passed by a local shop, which is kinda like a home depot/pound shop type place. On previous visits, I had noticed that they sell cheap toys and what not, so I decided to pop in an see if they had anything I could use in my games. So after a quick peruse around the shop, I took a stroll down the toy aisle, and to my delight I found these.

This box containing six plastic vans (two for each of the three emergency services) was priced at a mere £3.49! Safe to say, after a quick check to see if they were roughly the right size, I nabbed them up instantly!

"Dead By Dawn" - Diorama

Yesterday a spark of inspiration hit me, so I decided I would try to put together a late entry for the diorama contest currently running on “The Board of the Living Lead”. Even though I had until Jan 31st to submit my entry, I  got to work, and managed to come up with this!

Palin - Hasslefree Miniatures

Today guys, as I have yet to take any pics of what I’ve been working on since Christmas, I thought I’d do a quick post of one of my older zombie survivors. So while I was looking through some of my miniature pictures I took while experimenting with the wife’s camera a while back, I noticed I had a picture of the same mini that one of my fellow bloggers had posted earlier today.
This miniature is from “Hasslefree miniatures”, and is labelled as “Palin” on their web store.
After trying a few different colour schemes on the figure, I decided to go with the green hat and orange jacket combo, as this figure reminded me a lot of “Kyle” character from “South Park”.

To Simon, I apologise in advance for shamelessly ripping off your recent post, and for anyone who is interested in seeing his version of this miniature, then it can be found here

Some in game Zombie snaps!

Earlier this evening I managed to get in a quick zombie game, and decided to take some snaps during the game to show off my progress with this project.

Terrain Showcase: Bio Syndrome Terrain Set

So DVD has been quite busy of late. Between working on my Christmas haul of miniatures, and the shed load of real world stuff going on for me at the moment, I haven’t been able to post for a bit. Hopefully I should be able to get some of my recent work posted soon but today I thought id show you a video I found on Youtube the other day. It’s a video of a professional wargame terrain maker showing off some of his work, commissioned for a zombie themed game. I know you wargamers will like this one.

New Year, New Goodies!

Firstly, DVD would like to wish everyone out there a happy new year, and I hope you all had a good Christmas. As for us “Round Dave’s”, I am pleased to say that today’s post is a milestone for us, as it is post number 50! Also since we started this blog back in April, we have surpassed well over 10,000 views and counting. For that, id like to thank everyone who has bothered to take the time to stop by.

Now before I get into the goodies I got this Christmas, I’m pleased to say that I have finally got thecity buildings I have been working on painted up, and hope to show them off a bit more in the near future. For now here’s a quick snap I took earlier.
They are not perfect, and I may add some more detail here and there, but for now, they are good to go for some game use.

Now on to the miniatures! Now partly the reason I’ve been a bit slow to post since Christmas is because I have been working on these.
I did quite well this year, as I received a nice haul of miniatures from the folks from the Studio Miniatures Survivor range, and the wife got me a box of Wargames Factory’s Zombie Vixens to top it off.

Other miniature related presents included some new brushes, new lamp, and a clamp device with a magnifying glass for me to add some more detail to my future work.
Anyway that’s all, for now. A bit of a lazy post I know, but hey, I got a box of zombies to paint!!!!
